Not a lot of headlines are made by the #GooglePlayStore but yet the Play Store has become an inevitable key app on the #Android smartphone. Launched in 2012, it has more than 1 Billion active users today.

The growth spend on the Play store has been steadily growing year on year from $20 - $25 - $30 billion this year.

Keeping #security in focus, #Google scans around 6 Billion apps daily to ensure security and bans apps that violate the terms and conditions of fair usage and development. Google has banned almost a million Apps for flouting these rules.

Today, Google Play has around 5 million apps, with users based out of 190 countries.

It has a repository of 50 Million songs, with #Facebook being the most installed app while #CandyCrush being the most installed game!
